Specialists can sometimes be successful based on a combination of charisma, catchy slogans and impenetrable references. At Krypton, the goal is to be evidence-based. In an emerging discipline within clinical practice, “evidence-based practice involves complex and conscientious decision-making which is based not only on the available evidence but also on patient characteristics, situations, and preferences. It recognizes that care is individualized and ever changing and involves uncertainties and probabilities.” This is an approach that serves many aspects of process engineering as well.

Yet it is relatively rare to find recommendations that include more than a casual reference to a simple survey or two.
